This limited edition Monaco pays tribute to the great Steve McQueen, a famous patron of the original Heuer Monaco. Launched in 2005—what would have been McQueen's 75th birthday—this Monaco has a distinctive white dial (one of the first Monacos ever made in white) with blue and red stripes, identical to those seen on McQueen's race suit in the cult motorsport film Le Mans. It's a fitting tribute, of course, because it was McQueen who made the legendary, square-cased Monaco everything that it is today, after he wore it in the film.
